1.Introduction of Drilling Bits
Pneumatic drill bits is key tool of drilling in the process of mining, tapered connection cemented carbide drilling bits of our company have four forms: single chisel bits, cross-shaped bits, three-point bits and button bits.
A. Selection of drilling bits and cemented carbide
Select drilling bits’ model according to property and model of drilling machine, hardness of rock, water pressure. In general, the crack is not in the rock should select single chisel bits. Cross-shaped and three-point bits are widely used in various rocks, especially the hard and high abrasiveness rock. Button bits are applicable to the rock except high abrasiveness rock.
B. Usage and notices
a. Drilling bits should be coordinated with drilling rod, matched length ≥25mm.
b. Using unloading drill, hammer hit is prohibited.
c. The grinding chip drilling bits must control footage when using it. When obtuse angle width of both ends of the drilling bits≥2.5mm, it needs grinding, grinding adopts 46~60 silicon carbide wheel, linear speed is not lower than 18m/s.
2.Instructions
A. Ensure it coordinates well with cone bits (taper should remain the same; depth of drilling rod inserting into the cone hole should more than 25mm). Remark: drilling bits and drilling rod should be produced by the same manufacturer to ensure taper remains the same.
B. The drilling machine should lower air volume when drilling, this will reduce damage of drilling bits, using normal air volume when the drilling bits gets into the rock.
C. When the platform width of drilling bits blade≥3mm should change or grind it timely in order to keep drilling rate and make its service life longer. If there is inverted cone, should change or grind it timely, if not, the drilling bits will have serious abrasion, drilling rate will be reduced.
D. If there is steel bar when using drilling bits, should adjust punch position to protect drilling bits.
E. When rock-drilling jamming appears, should change single chisel bits to button bits or cross-shaped bits.
F. If the rock will make the single chisel bits has serious abrasion, lower the drilling footage should change other alloy drilling bits or use cross-shaped bits and button bits.
